I started work on this chair when I was trying to further simplify the plank chair, replacing the wood surface with a rod. During the development of this product, I created an object that reminded me of urban bicycle riders, who take their bicycle seat with them after locking the bicycle in a public place. The fear of having the seat stolen leads to the creation of a new product- a rod attached to the seat. This product provokes in me the sense of a dangerous and violent apparatus. During the development process, I tried to "civilize" the new product and emphasize its sense of violence. I aimed to design an object that was both aesthetic and violent, this made me lean towards the ax.

העבודה על כיסא זה התחילה כשניסיתי לפשט עוד יותר את כיסא הקרש – ולהחליף את המשטח במוט. תוך כדי פיתוח נוצר אובייקט שהזכיר לי את רוכבי האופניים בעיר הגדולה ששולפים את המושב כשהם משאירים את האופניים עצמם נעולים במקום ציבורי. החשש מגניבה מוביל ליצירת מוצר חדש – צינור מחובר למושב – שמעורר בי הרגשה של מכשיר אלים ומסוכן. בהמשך הפיתוח ניסיתי "לאזרח" את המוצר החדש ולחדד את האופי האלים שהוא מקרין, ניסיתי לעצב אובייקט שיהיה גם אסתטי וגם אלים – ולכן נטיתי לכיוון הגרזן.
